The fifth RSNOG conference was held in Hotel Zira in Belgrade on November 21, with the support of the Foundation “National Internet Domain Register of Serbia” (RNIDS), RIPE NCC, Serbian Open Exchange (SOX) and Cisco.

The gathering was welcomed by Zoran Perovic, Chairman of the Board of Directors of RNIDS. In the introductory part of the conference, Duško Kodžić from RATEL presented to the gathered the National CERT of the Republic of Serbia. Danko Jevtovic, a member of ICANN’s Board of Directors, outlined the organization’s various activities globally.

During the first block of the conference, various aspects of cyber security were discussed. The second block of the conference discussed new activities and initiatives related to one of the key Internet services – the DNS system. The focus of the third block of the conference was the protection against DDoS attacks provided by three major telecommunications operators in Serbia as their service.

Like last year, the RSNOG conference generated an increased interest in the RSNOG mailing lists.
